Real estate photography · Sintra
Villas, estates, and apartments captured in the light of the serra — from interiors to aerial views, portal-ready.
Home base
The studio is based in Colares, at the edge of the serra. We know the mist that rises in the late afternoon, the hour when golden light enters the west-facing houses, and the microclimate that shifts street to street. That advantage can't be improvised — we plan each shoot with the property's sun path in hand.
From contemporary villas in Colares and Malveira da Serra to walled estates and apartments in the historic centre, we shape the framing to the character of the property. Straight verticals, balanced windows, and tones true to the space, always.

Estates & villas
With the DJI Mavic 4 Pro, we show the land, the gardens, and the serra around them — the context that sets an estate or a view villa apart. Drone, blue hour, and listing film available on top of the photo base.
Where we shoot
Colares, Malveira da Serra, Almoçageme. Land, garden, and pool in their setting, with blue hour when the property warrants it.
Estefânia, São Pedro, and the historic centre. Edited interiors, with Sintra's light and character working for the listing.
Rental houses and estates in the serra and Colares, shot for the booking platforms and not only for the sale.
We work with agents, agencies, and owners across the Sintra hills, with one point of contact from briefing to delivery and formats ready for idealista, Imovirtual, and social. Travel included on the Sintra–Cascais–Lisbon axis.
Light & logistics
Beyond the Lens (BTL Studio) is the real estate photography studio based in Colares, Sintra. In the serra the light is decided early: east-facing façades own the morning; west-facing ones have the golden hour and the dusk that sells a villa with a view. The mist that rolls in over Praia das Maçãs and Colares in the late afternoon is planned for, not suffered — we book the shoot by the property's sun path and the forecast, and move the hour if the serra asks for it.
Drone: much of the serra lies inside the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, where flights need authorisation. We confirm feasibility before proposing aerial images and handle the request when the property warrants it. When flying is not possible, blue hour and the terraces do the work of placing the house.
Delivery: edited files, corrected verticals and balanced windows, in formats ready for idealista, Imovirtual and social, as a rule within the week of the shoot. Travel included across the whole Sintra municipality.

The whole municipality: Colares, Azenhas do Mar, Praia das Maçãs, Almoçageme, Magoito, São João das Lampas, Linhó, Beloura, Estefânia, São Pedro de Penaferrim and Sintra town. The studio is in Colares, so the serra and the coast are minutes away.
It depends on the location. Inside the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park flights need authorisation; outside it, in most cases, yes. We check the property before proposing drone and, when flying is not possible, suggest blue hour and high vantage points instead.
Morning for east-facing façades and gardens; late afternoon and blue hour for west-facing houses or sea views. Interiors are shot in the softest window light of the day. We plan the hour by the property's orientation and the mist forecast.
