The coast north of the serra
Beyond the Lens (BTL Studio) is based in Colares; Ericeira is twenty-five minutes up the coast road. The light here is harder and cleaner than in the serra — the Atlantic throws it back, the wind clears the sky and the white façades want the late afternoon. We know the difference between a morning of nortada and a still afternoon, and we book the shoot by it.
The Ericeira market sells on the life it promises: surf, beach, a pool house ten minutes from the waves. Foreign buyers, second homes and a growing share of holiday rentals. We photograph for that buyer — the house in its setting, the light of the right hour and interiors edited without excess.

Pool, terrace and façade at dusk, interior lights on and the sky still blue — the frame that stops the scroll on a booking platform. That was the brief in Carvoeira, for a rental manager with properties between Mafra and Ericeira.

Light & logistics
The summer nortada blows hard in the afternoon and decides the drone day; mornings are stiller. Sea-facing façades look west — golden hour and dusk are the rule for exteriors and pools. Interiors are shot in the morning, in the softest window light.
Drone: away from the protected cliffs and restricted zones, flying is normally possible in Ericeira and Mafra. We confirm feasibility before proposing it. Delivery as a rule within the week of the shoot, with corrected verticals, balanced windows and formats for every channel.
